On your HostGator control panel, go to the Software/Service section and click on the QuickInstall icon.

Under Blog Software, click on WordPress then Continue.

On the Application URL field, fill in the specific address where you want WordPress to be installed. Leaving this part blank will put WordPress on your main page. If you type in “blog” in this field, WordPress would be installed in the address http://yourdomain.com/blog.

Step 4: Choose a WordPress website theme to install

Upon installation, there’s already a default theme that’s running on your WordPress website. You can change the look by selecting a theme from those that are available for free, or you can pay for a premium one.
